On fire in the Glen - return of The View

V for The View: Bass player Kieren Webster was guest DJ at the post-gig party in PJ Molloys.
The View - Glen Pavilion Saturday 17th December.
The View's concerts arrive with a sense of occasion. They've sold out quick the three times they've played in Dunfermline and there's always a sense of anticipation beforehand with unfounded predictions of 'trouble'.
The band enjoyed instant success five years ago when their debut album 'Hats Off to the Buskers' went platinum.
That number-one has been followed with two fine albums, enjoyed by their fans but which nevertheless failed to make the same impression on the wider market.
They're under new management, are already looking to get a fourth album out and have ambitions to have another crack at the States. You sense they crave to grab the centre-stage again.
The new material certainly sounded more commercially aimed and mainstream. Hopefully the band can pull off the trick of recapturing their early acclaim without losing the spirit and the passion that has made them one of Scotland's best live bands of recent years and built up a fervent fan-base.
Guitarist Pete Reilly and pulverising drummer Mo are the band's unsung heroes in achieving that drive and dynamism.
Highlights of a vibrant set which reverberated around the Glen Pavilion included 'Blondie', 'Superstar Tradesman', 'Grace', 'Shock Horror' and '5 Rebeccas'. Top class gig.
