THE fall-out from Rangers' financial crisis is set to leave Pars £80,000 out of pocket.
The Ibrox club plunged into administration on Tuesday as they admitted they didn't have enough money to pay their debts.
They owe Dunfermline around £80,000 in ticket sales from Saturday's match and there is "extreme concern" the club won't get the cash owed.
A statement from the club said, "All of the board of DAFC would like to express their concern and shock that a giant football club such as Rangers FC has gone into administration.
"The impact of this will be felt throughout Scotland, the UK and Europe and the board and club would wish to convey their support to Rangers FC and hope that the club can find a way through this terrible time.
"However, the direct impact to DAFC is not insignificant: Rangers FC are due DAFC in the region of £80,000 of gate receipts from Saturday's fixture which is obviously of extreme concern.
"This payment is no longer expected to be received by next Tuesday which would have been due to the club.
"This is a significant amount of money for a club such as DAFC to lose especially after losing £50,000 due to our game against Kilmarnock being postponed and will create some challenges for us over the coming months.
"These challenges are not insurmountable."
The Pars are hoping to plug the gap with more fans through the turnstiles, with Jim Leishman issuing a rallying call ahead of the home match with Inverness.
He said, "From a football point of view, this is a really important game as they're in the same area of the league and if we can get that wee bit extra it will really help us try to stay up.
"If we can get more fans in, it really gives the boys a lift and it's like an extra player when the fans are right behind them.
"On the other side, we obviously don't know what's going to happen with the gate money, if and when we get it, so we need everyone to get behind the club and the different ventures we have."
Under SPL rules Rangers have 10 days to pay the gate money, up to Wednesday 22nd February.
Given Dunfermline's own financial problems - the board closed the north stand to save cash and said they must claw back £100,000 by the season's end - the prospect of not being paid would be a serious blow.
The Pars have a number of initiatives to raise cash to "ensure that the club balances its books", such as the executive club and the re-launched club lottery and an ongoing programme to cut costs.
The board statement continued, "To date, that programme has already made a meaningful saving for the club by reducing staff, policing, stewarding, fuel and telephony costs and we have made a small trading profit up to the end of January.
"As at today's date DAFC are only due £44,000 to HMRC.
"The club also continue to seek to increase commercial income and this is where DAFC fans are key to help achieve this.
"The most immediate area where everyone can help is in achieving as high a gate as possible at the upcoming game this Saturday against Inverness; please encourage as many friends and family to come along and get behind their local team!"
Administrators Duff and Phelps were appointed by Rangers as they face up to serious debts and a potential tax bill of up to £75 million.
The club has also been docked 10 points by the SPL, effectively ending their title defence.

Report commentEven money that the Pars will be out of business by the end of the season I reckon. They just don't have a big enough regular fan base to continue, and let's face it, who want to pay £20 a ticket to go and see that gash!
Sooner the stadium's knocked down and some prime housing is built the better! Also won't have to put up with the nonsense of roads being closed everytime Rangers(RIP) or Celtic are in town.

Report commentThere is no doubt that Dunfermline along with a lot more Scottish clubs are feeling the pinch.
That is why this is the last thing they need, £80,000 is a fortune to The Pars.
Its criminal that they should suffer because of the tax dodgers at Ibrox.

Did Dunfermline have enough support to actually generate 80k at the gate, somehow i doubt it, fair weather fans eh?

Report commentPoor old Pars, caught up in the Gers cycle of greed & deception. 80 grand is a lot to miss out on! Don't think that cash will ever arrive at Eastend Park. The once mighty Rangers have been caught out being too greedy for success, buying players / paying wages they can't afford. It's a shame for clubs like the Pars who have been living within their means with the resultant limited / lack of success, to miss out on cash they expected because of the Gers mis-management!

Report commentIts good to see that the child like wit of ****** has returned. I am surprised he or she can actually form a sentence to get removed by a moderator.
Rangers have got themselves caught up in this debt due to wreckless Paul Le Guen and Dick Advocaat who tried to import their old teams to Scotland at a costly mistake.
Dunfermline unfortunatly are pinning this £80,000 debt as Rangers wronging them and trying to undercut them when in reality they are going down faster than Rangers.
The bottom line is that surely in this day and age of football when players etc are costing so much that there would be "insurance" to cover te event of this happening??
